London Spring

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”

~Charles Dickens, Great Expectations

It’s beginning to feel a bit like spring here in London!

Recent highlights (made all the better by sunshine, such a rare commodity here):

The Mikado

Last week our centre took us out the the opera at the beautiful Coliseum theatre in Oxford Circus to see The Mikado. It’s an updated Gilbert and Sullivan operetta that was the most fun, lighthearted opera experience I’ve ever had.

Booking Midterm Break plans!

I now have my entire midterm break planned out, shining like a light at the end of the dark tunnel that is midterms week. I’ll be spending a few days at a retreat on the Canary Islands where the beach is a small walk away and yoga classes are offered daily. I usually take trips to big cities with almost too many sights to see, so this will be something totally different…and I’m really looking forward to it! It’ll be a great opportunity to relax and catch up on life: reading and writing and relaxing. Then a few nights in Barcelona (highly recommended) on my way back to London will satisfy my big city adventuring.

Discovering The Power Yoga Co. and it’s swanky neighborhood.

I’ve found a wonderful new yoga place! I didn’t really realise how much I was missing at the first studio I’d found until I discovered The Power Yoga Co. This place is me : ) and I love it’s posh neighbourhood with cute shops and clean little houses.
